Doctor of Medical Sciences Igor Aznavaryan has always occupied an active civil and professional position. His main professional objectives have always been and will remain to improve the quality of vision care of adult and children, and improve the accessibility to high-quality vision care services.

These objectives cannot be achieved without improving the education in the field of ophthalmology and strabismus, as well as training of highly qualified specialists and improving skills of ophthalmologists. That is why “Yasniy Vzor” today is not only a specialized pediatric ophthalmology clinic with a serious, long-term scientific and practical basis, but also a training center – the Center for Advanced Training for Ophthalmologists.

The main goals of the Center for Advanced Training are:

• To improve the access to high-quality visual care services to preserve and restore visual functions

• To create conditions for the realization of professional and intellectual potential of the representatives of the ophthalmological community

• Pleopto-orthopto-diploptic methods of treatment in ophthalmology
• Optometry and contact correction
• Laser vision correction
• Treatment of the obstruction of lacrimal passages
• Strabismus
• Strabismus surgery
• The role of modern methods of orbit visualization in the choice of surgical tactics of strabismus
• Nursing in ophthalmology
• Nursing in ophthalmology (with an interval in employment term of more than 5 years)

The Center for Advanced Training “Yasniy Vzor” presently:

• It is the only training center in Russia and the entire post-Soviet space where doctors can complete a 3-month and one-year internship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismology
• As a training center for pediatric ophthalmology and strabismology, it was admitted to the International Council of Ophthalmology
